5 out of 5 stars Could be longer, but still an excellent tent   August 29, 2008
Allen Kelley (Chandler, AZ USA)
This is one of the few affordable, 2-person tent options for taller people. While it is long at the floor, the walls at the head and foot of the tent are angled such that you lose that advantage if you're sleeping on an air mattress. It was still long enough for my 6'2" frame, but just barely. Other than that it's light, packs VERY small and is super-easy to set up.

5 out of 5 stars Well made, but slightly heavy   August 25, 2008
Ryan S. Nevius (California)
This tent is extremely well-made. It will withstand any 3-season weather thrown at it. I wish it was a little lighter, but I'll sacrifice a pound of weight for a product that will last much longer than its competitors.

5 out of 5 stars Great Tent   August 19, 2008
JEZ (Lincoln, NE USA)
This is a great tent for backpacking it is small and lightweight. It is freestanding so once it is set up you can move it if you decide to change camp. The way the tent curves up on the bottom and the rainfly goes all the way to the ground i would doubt it will leak either however i haven't test that theory yet as it hasn't rained on a campout I have used it on. It says it is a two person tent and I imagine if you "really like" the person you are camping with that could be true personally I find it just big enough for me and my gear. I purchased the tent on special so cheap i thought was a mistake, and still do, I would say it is worth every penny of the price Kelty list it at. Kelty offers a lifetime warranty for the original owner on all of their products new all you have to do is register the product. I am very pleased with the quality of all Kelty products that i have purchased in the past and I will continue to purchase their products. I will update this review once I have had a chance to use it in some real wet conditions.

5 out of 5 stars Prices jump around ALOT!!!   August 14, 2008

I just got this tent and have NOT used it in the field yet, but i ordered it on July 25th 2008 and the price was $81.61 so it pays to pay attention to the prices. For 81 bucks this is a GREAT tent!!!!!

Same thing happened with a back pack I ordered... $74.52 on July 23, $130 today!!!! (I would HATE to have paid $130 and then see it for 75!!!)

Great service on both items, by the way!!! Just watch for sales etc.

Just got back from an overnight trip and the tent worked extremely well. Easy to set up, light, compact and well ventilated. I had great weather and so can't comment on wind stability or rain protection, but it seemed like it would be fine. Higlhy recommended.

Get it while they last; this is wonderful tent. The Kelty Pagosa 2 incorporates all the feature of a high end tent for under $90.

*Light weight 5.7lbs
*2 doors
*Full rain-fly
*2 large vestibules
*Aluminum poles
*Great ventilation
*Available footprint
*Surprisingly large interior

Overall it's a no brainier for a good quality camping/backpack tent.
