5 out of 5 stars What you see is what you get   June 19, 2008

You really dont need any directions for setting this up. It's very easy to use. Can easily handle my weight (180 lbs). It may take up a bit of space, but its well worth it. Very comfortable. Considering the price its a pretty good deal.

5 out of 5 stars easy and very sturdy   June 17, 2008

I'm not sure why there is a review that indicates that this is hard to set up. I never looked for instructions because it was intuitive, it pops right open...there is nothing to it. I'm a blonde female and figured it out, heh heh! This hammock is so study that my husband assumed I had spent a few hundred dollars for it. It does not look like a $60 hammock. We took it to the lake and set it up under some shade trees. My sister and I both rested on it together. It was great to take to the lake. It would also be good for the beach. You could use it for camping, but only if you had it in the vehicle and your campsite was nearby because it is fairly heavy. It does have a tote bag with a handy strap, but it is fairly heavy for me, so my husband carries it. You wouldn't want to hike with it due to weight, but it would be perfect for a campsite. VERY easy to fold up in one swift movement and put it back in the tote bag. I am going to buy another one.

I've always wanted a hammock, and I figured for the price, this would be good for me. It's more than I expected! It is so easy to put together (so easy it doesn't even come with instructions!) and it's incredibly comfortable. I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for something comfy for a very good price!

3 out of 5 stars Good portable hammock, but some drawbacks   May 22, 2008

I got this hammock a few weeks ago. It has a great carrying case for transporting and/or storing the hammock, and it was fairly easy to put together. Although no instructions were included, it took only a few minutes to fold out the base and put the hammock on top (note: you really have to pull on the hammock to make it stretch around the posts on either side). It is comfortable and I would keep it if it weren't for one thing---it does not swing at all (once it is around the posts it is relatively stationary, which may be a good thing for those with children who are worried about them laying on the hammock and falling). However, I do not have children and really wanted a hammock that would be small and portable but also would swing in the breeze and be relaxing.(There is no hope of it stretching out in time with pieces of fabric wrapped around the posts). For me although it is a good hammock, I am going to return it for another hammock that swings!

5 out of 5 stars Great Hammock!   May 18, 2008

This really IS that easy to set up: Take it out of the bag, unfold it (there's only one way to do this-it's very obvious), take the hammock part out of the pocket in the bag, unroll it and attach each metal oval shaped ring to the 4 black knobs at both ends. You might need help getting that last one on the knob.

It's so comfortable. The only thing I miss is the "swing factor". A regular hammock swings nicely but this one pretty much stays in place, suspending you in midair. So it's still nice, just different from others. It looks cool, too.
