Fits like a glove! July 2, 2008 Zelisa A. Gutierrez (Piscataway, NJ) I used this for the first time last month in my trip to Mexico. I used it for so many underwater pics and when I swimming around just to make sure it doesn't get wet. The pictures came out clear and there was no leakage. The dials fit perfectly and I had no problems at all. Just make sure you get the exact one for your model. It is a bit big and bulky but it's OK - it's a case and I expected that. Everyone at the water adventures we were doing wanted my case!!! Some had the disposable water cameras and some cameras that were waterproof yet pics weren't that great. Can't wait to use it on my next water adventure!!! Just make sure you clean in properly.
Superb UW case - excellent photos April 27, 2008 M. Hudson (CT) Like some of the other reviews, the price took me back a little - until you add up the cost of buying the disposable cameras and film developing. I've used them in the past and once you took the 24 or 36 pics - you were done and had to hope that they came out OK.
I just returned from a vacation to St. Thomas - lots of snorkeling and beach play. Took 100's of photos so I think I took it through the paces. All of the camera settings are available with the case installed. The quality of the pictures was stunning. I couldn't tell the difference between the photos with the case on those without the case. It's just that good. The case cleans up nicely - the usual suntan lotion that seems to get everywhere comes off very cleanly. I used the underwater mode on the camera while snorkeling and let it take care of everything else. It's not a cheap case but I have absolutely no regrets. The quality is so much better than the disposable cameras - plus you have all the advantages of digital over film photography.
Fantastic value February 18, 2008 K. C. Skinner (Phoenix, AZ) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Great performance for the price. This is a very inexpensive and easy to use u/w housing. I'm a serious scuba diver and a not so serious photographer and this works great for me. I have to remember to leave the camera on the boat if going very deep, but the 130 foot limit is fine for 90% of my diving. Great product.
One thing to note, though. You cannot buy an o-ring for this product from anyone except Canon (732-521-7230). I thought $26 for a spare o-ring to be quite expensive when compared to previous o-ring purchases for other marine cases.
Superb!! January 21, 2008 William Warshauer (Washington, DC) I bought this case for my Canon 700 in advance of a scuba trip to the Carribean. The case worked marvelously!! You can access every button on the camera while diving and I took the case down to 75' with no leaks or problems at all. I took over 500 pictures underwater while diving during the week and they came out really well. You can even take underwater movies using the camera's movie function. Alhtough this case is a bit pricey, it is worth every penny!
Canon Waterproof case for Digital camera January 20, 2008 Cryton336 (USA) This is great. I buy it for all my digital camera's. It's worth the investment. I do a lot of snorkeling and it produces lots a great underwater shots. Also it helps protect your camera from dust, sand.. etc. I was in Cobo san Lucas on a open jeep tour and it helped protect my camera from all the dirt and dust. A++ a must when you travel.
