this board is tight. it was my first board and it is a tough little thing. i never really truly appreciated it until my 2nd year of surfing. at first i would just cruise waves like a kook. then i started taking advantage of its light weight. i usually surf at steamer lane over winter and it gets pretty crazy. i was able to come off steep drops -- no problem man. head high waves with ease! overhead waves are much doable. if you are wanting to venture into the shortboard world this is it. my leash has snapped twice at the lane, ive ran over it with my truck once, my surftechnician hates fixing my dings, and yes it does stand out because it is a WHITE board. so if you buy one, do not KOOK out. the locs will eat you up, so you gotta man up and grow some balls and get good fast otherwise you will get heckld. once you are good enough, put a twinfin set on that bad boy and you will be carving up and down, side to side of any face, any time. it really is a carver, you can pretty much handle overhead waves, real easy to turn and maneuver. i now ride a 5'10 and probably wont go back to longboarding. i also paid half of what it is usually because i copped a used one. peace.
