Join Maral for a sunset ocean flow practice at Wind and Sea, La Jolla. Appropriate for yoga practitioners looking to deepen their practice by having ample time to build physical and energetic endurance as well as harnessing a deeper meditative focus by uniting breath and movement ~ the foundation of Vinyasa itself. The Sun Salutations are taught intentionally with detailed alignment. The practice is connected through asanas of forward folds, arm balancing, hip openers, inversions, spinal twists, ending with Savasana, a deep reclining meditation. This practice is sequenced carefully with attention to pose and counter pose to reveal a dynamic energy that pulsates within and leaves each person feeling connected to the universal energy of love ~ the heart of yoga. Yoga is our life, and our presence, our awareness in each moment, is our greatest gift. Teaching since 2000 Maral has studied Iyengar, Vinyasa Flow, Ashtanga, Anusara, and AcroYoga. To the many teachers that have generously donated their hearts to Maral's growth: Michael Fukumura, David Swenson, John Friend, Jai Uttal, Govindas & Radha, and AcroYoga teachers Jenny and Jason, and of course her husband Manel and her Mama Leela who began practicing in 1977 and whom brought this practice to a little girl who never knew this is what her calling would be. This is one of many DVD's at MyYogaVideo.com that has multiple soundtracks. You can choose between two instructional styles, detailed or asana timing only, and you can choose your music from several beautiful tracks. In the detailed instructional sound track you are often presented with pose options for each level. Choose the option that fits you best and hold the pose only as long as you can keep the integrity intact. Video clips can be viewed at MyYogaVideo.com ***Practice DVD***: after you have listened to the detailed instructional sound track you switch to the asana timing sound track. This helps you get into the body through your yoga practice and out of your critical mind. This DVD also lets you choose the beautiful music that inspires you "today" ... ~ This product is manufactured on demand using DVD-R recordable media. Amazon.com's standard return policy will apply.

Video Clip October 10, 2008 Steven H. Bickel Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/REOL2PQ15CY3H This is a video clip from the actual DVD. The music is one of 4 choices (one is no music). The instructors voice is one of two choices. This is the detailed instructional choice.
Excellent September 26, 2008 James E. White (Oak Park, IL) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I can say I had no problem playing this DVD, and the yoga was top notch. The instructor is extremely good, the flow is of a moderate place, and it is a lengthy practice 95 minutes. However there is a 7 minute meditation session and 5 or so minute savasana. The poses are well sequenced and will work you out. This is a great DVD if you have the time, skill, and the endurance to get through it. If you need something a little shorter I would suggest Deb Dobbins video (39, 71, 70 minute sessions) or Christine Pedersen (76 minutes 1 session). Otherwise, you cannot go wrong with this one.
Don't Bother! September 21, 2008 T. Luc (Washington, DC) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Don't waste your time purchasing this DVD because it won't play in your machine. Read the other reviews, they had the same problem. You'll get your refund back from Amazon, but you have to pay to return the item.
The Manufacturing problems for this DVD are fixed September 17, 2008 Steven H. Bickel 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
The Manufacturing problems for this DVD have been fixed. The format issues that caused problems with a few customers have been resolved. All DVD players that have been manufactured in the past 10 years should play this DVD now. All other DVDs from MyYogaVideo.com have had their issues resolved also (there were a few small sound volume issues where it was difficult to hear the instructor during short sections where the music got loud).
Excellent! (just a little side note) September 7, 2008 NamasteYoga (Los Angeles) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Excellent attention to detail and wonderful voice that guides you through the practice. Just a little side note, It's been brought to my attention that other dvd made by MyYogaOnline have had some technical issues, and as far as I am aware they've all been resloved. Please don't let that discourage you from ordering this dvd because it's a beautiful practice for home instruction! I also highly recommend Tamara's Yoga Fusion! TAMARA'S YOGA FUSION
